The end of Liar is coming to a close and viewers are getting nearer to finding out who really killed Andrew Earlham.

The second series of the crime drama so far has seen Laura Nielson (Joanne Froggatt) try to figure out the mysterious circumstances surrounding the death of Andrew, who was revealed to have raped her in series one.

Although many characters were also in the frame, including Carl Peterson (Howard Charles) and Jennifer Robertson (Jill Halfpenny), being linked to his death.

Episode five really took viewers through their paces and at this point, Andrew is still alive but he is blackmailing his ‘friend’ Oliver and Rory is medalling with Laura’s case but why?

Here are all the burning questions we have after episode five.

Did Laura kill Andrew?

Laura was arrested (and bailed) again after police found her necklace in the shipping container where Andrew’s DNA was found.

So there is so much evidence that still points to the teacher committing the crime, but did she do it or is she being framed?

What does Rory’s son Greg have to do with it?

Laura steals Rory’s (Danny Webb) mobile phone after she suspects him of medalling with her case. She knows it’s a dodgy move, but one she was prepared to take.

She finds an email from Rory’s son Greg which is captioned ‘What is Laura Nielson’s freedom worth?’

After meeting up with Greg, Laura realises it was a mistake but she is hellbent on figuring out what they have to do with Andrew’s murder and her case.

And she now knows it was Rory and Greg who medalled with her Sat Nav to frame her, but will they come clean about it?

Did Oliver plant the car key in Laura’s flat?

Laura’s sister Katy (Zoe Tapper) and brother-in-law Liam (Richie Campbell) start to do some investigating of their own as they try to prove Laura’s innocence.

They discover it was Oliver who picked up Andrew’s car key at the hospital, which means it could have been him who planted it in Laura’s flat.

(Well let’s face it, it probably was).

Is Andrew framing Laura for his own death (before he knew he was going to die?)

We already know that Andrew is blackmailing Oliver as he claims to have a videotape of him raping another man after he told him he had deleted it.

Oliver continues to help him and in the infamous shipping container, Oliver can be seen helping Andrew to take samples of his own blood, which we can only assume he is using to smear in the shopping container to frame Laura.

But was Andrew trying to fake his own death before he was murdered?

Did Luke kill his own father?

Towards the end of episode five, Luke is seen talking about his dad and when he is asked what he would do if his dad called him he simply answered: ‘He’s a liar.

‘He’s evil, you want to know how I feel?

‘If I see him, he’s dead.’

Until next week…

Liar airs Mondays at 9pm on ITV.
