John Barrowman will be hosting his very own coronavirus lockdown party, where he’ll be watching an episode of Torchwood with fans.

The star made the announcement on Tuesday evening, when taking to his Instagram account.

In a video shared with his 1.5million followers, the 53-year-old revealed the episode he wanted them all to be tuning into, and told the fandom how to watch it.

‘So the votes came in and the episode that was chosen to be watched on Thursday, April 2, for the worldwide Torchwood watching session, shall we call it?’ he laughed before announcing: ‘Was season one episode 12, Captain Jack Harkness.

‘We press the play button together, and we watch – I will be commentating here on Instagram Live, and I’ll also be tweeting on Twitter.’

The watch session will happen at 8pm BST this Thursday, and will see John air his thoughts on the episode.

After dishing up the deets of when fans can tune in, the much-loved singer signed off by shouting ‘love ya!’

This isn’t the first time he’s revisited the character this year, as John returned to Doctor Who earlier this year.

The immortal Torchwood operative, hasn’t been seen on screen in years, with the Doctor (Jodie Whittaker) going through a face change or two since.

As it happens, it was one regeneration too many for Jack to keep up with – as he reappeared and immediately planted a snog on the lips of Graham (Bradley Walsh).

While Judoon took over the Earth in search of their missing fugitive who should have landed there, Jack warned Graham: ‘He needs to know the future of the universe is at stake.’

When Jack’s informed that he (the Doctor) is now a she, it was clearly too much for him to resist.

Yep, Captain Jack hasn’t changed one bit.

Tune into John Barrowman’s Torchwood watch session at 8pm on Thursday.
