The Nest episode 4 questions: Will Kaya keep her baby leaving Dan and Emily childless?

Will Dan and Emily ever get a baby? (Picture: BBC)

The Nest aired its penultimate episode on Sunday night and it’s looking more and more likely that Dan and Emily will end the series childless.

After a tense previous chapter dropped some serious bombshells about Kaya’s criminal past, this evening’s installment disclosed what happened to Doddy and cleared up some questions about the baby.

But of course, all this new information has led us to needing more answers – and we need to get them before the series finale next week.

Will Kaya take her baby from Dan and Emily?

The final scenes of this evening’s chapter saw Kaya hold her daughter for the first time as her mum watched on.

The pair were seen playing happy families and it seems as though they’re going to turn over a new leaf and raise the baby together.

‘It’s going to be a new start,’ Kaya’s mum insisted seconds before Dan and Emily arrived at the ward to see their supposed daughter being cradled away from them.

Will Kaya end up taking her baby, leaving Dan and Emily devastated and out of pocket?

Is James lying about his involvement in Doddy’s murder and will he go to prison?

James was arrested at the end of tonight’s episode as police revealed he’d illegally downloaded details of people in the area and passed them on, including Doddy’s information.

It transpired that Doddy’s address landed up with a bunch of drug criminals, who then tracked him down and murdered him.

‘This was drugs. I just needed money… guys like Doddy make money off of making things wore,’ he screamed as he was being dragged away.

Although James insisted that he didn’t know Doddy and that he sold off information for money, we know as audiences that isn’t the case.

Is James covering his tracks, and will he go to prison for his crimes?

Will Dan and Emily manage to track down their baby?

Shocking DNA test results revealed that Kaya’s child isn’t a biological match to any of the parties involved, meaning that legally she is Kaya’s.

Dan and Emily discovered that there had been a mix up at the fertility clinic in the Ukraine, meaning that their embryo was most likely accidentally implanted into a stranger, while a stranger’s embryo was accidentally implanted into Kaya.

While Emily looked dead set on trying to track down her biological son or daughter, Dan opted to focus on the child they created with the teenager.

‘That’s a part of us that we’ll never know,’ Emily cried in intense scenes.

‘There’s no other baby, there’s only this one that we created,’ Dan replied.

Will Emily give up her search to find her and Dan’s biological child?

The Nest returns on Sunday at 9pm on BBC One.
