Megan McKenna has left us all shook, quite frankly, by revealing she once starred in The Inbetweeners.

The irreverent comedy series debuted on Channel 4 and ran for three series, before spinning off into two cinematic releases, all starring Simon Bird, Blake Harrison, Joe Thomas and James Buckley.

But former The Only Way Is Essex star shared on Instagram that she too was a student at Rudge Park Comprehensive…kind of.

Megan posted a variety of photos, revealing she had been cast as an extra for the series, and had appeared in promotional material for the show, as well as popping up in the background of an episode too.

‘That’s me,’ Megan captioned on a pic, circling herself, before zooming in so we could see her serving some confused face next to Simon Bird.

And it turns out, she even made a brief appearance in the actual show via trailer, and she posted a screenshot of that too.

‘My one second clip in the advert,’ she commented with a laughing face.

We all have to start somewhere, hun!

Megan got her start in reality TV show Ex on the Beach, before eventually becoming a main cast member on The Only Way Is Essex, which chronicled her on-again, off-again relationship with Pete Wicks.

From there, she booked time in the Celebrity Big Brother house, and most recently branched out into a music career, winning the inaugural (and probably final, let’s be honest) series of The X Factor: Celebrity, signing a record deal with Syco in the process.

She won the hearts of the nation with self-penned acoustic confessionals such as This and Stronger, although she’s yet to make her proper major label debut.

It was confirmed earlier this year that Megan had officially entered the studio to start recording on her second album, but we don’t know how far along plans were before coronavirus and its wide-reaching implications ground the music industry to a halt.

Still, she could always call up on her old Inbetweeners pals for a little rap feature, no?

The Inbetweeners is available to stream now via All4.
