An 81-year-old pedestrian who was struck by a vehicle Wednesday in Compton did not survive.
Manuel Sanchez, of Compton, was fatally injured about 10 a.m. in the 1700 block of North Long Beach Boulevard, according to the coroner’s office.
A sergeant at the sheriff’s Compton Station said the circumstances of the death were under investigation.
