Body Found as Firefighters Extinguish Blaze in Santa Ana

A burned body was found as Orange County Fire Authority firefighters responded to a brush fire along the Santa Ana riverbed trail Thursday.

Firefighters responded to the call of the brusher at 3:26 a.m., according to police. After the blaze was quickly doused, the firefighters found the scorched body of a man in the brush, police said.

Police were investigating the cause of death and other circumstances. The identity of the man was not immediately known, police said.
