BTS couldn’t hide their delight after Alicia Keys posted a cover of their hit track, Life Goes On.

The South Korean band was shown some major love by the Grammy winner on Thursday when she shared the surprise rendition on Twitter.

At the start of the clip, she stated: ‘Alright bet y’all didn’t think I will play this one, some of you know it.’

The 39-year-old then proceeded to sing the English translation of the song while she played the tune on her piano.

The band soon caught wind of the cover and reacted on Twitter as they gushed: ‘Thank you…such a big honour.’

It was also a hit with the ARMY, garnering over 6.4 million views as one BTS fan wrote: ‘Aliciaaaaaaa army Love youuuuu.’

Another commented, ‘This is so soothing’ while one fan stated: ‘this is so cute, legends supporting legends,a collaboration would be ART.’

A collaboration could well be on the cards as the band are fans of Alicia’s music too.

Last week,  V posted a video of him grooving to Alicia’s Love Looks Better in what appears to be the start of a lovely musical friendship.

It’s been a great week for the group after the K-pop kings have made history with their nomination for best pop duo/group performance for Dynamite at the 2021 Grammys.

In the category, BTS face stiff competition from Intentions by Justin Bieber ft Quavo, Rain On Me by Lady Gaga with Ariana Grande, Exile by Taylor Swift ft Bon Iver, and Un Dia (One Day) by J Balvin, Dua Lipa, Bad Bunny and Tainy.

The nomination marks the first time a K-pop act has ever been nominated for a Grammy.

In a video shared to BTS’s Twitter account, RM, Jimin, and Jungkook jumped up, clapped, and shouted when their nomination was read out, but V simply sat on the sofa beside them and didn’t budge.

The Grammys take place on January 31, 2021.
