Victoria Derbyshire recalled her awkward Jeremy Hunt gaffe on I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!, admitting it was her ‘worst day’.
The presenter, 52, made headlines last year after accidentally referring to the MP as ‘Jeremy C***’ during a live debate on her current affairs show.
Addressing the blunder at the time, she said: ‘I’ve never said that before in my life, it’s usually men who say that so I really really want to apologise. I’m sorry.’
Discussing the gaffe with her campmates, the star branded the moment as ‘awful’ – as Beverley Callard and co laughed.
‘I mispronounced his name, it was excruciating, it was awful,’ she said in the Telegraph.
‘I buried my head in my hands.’
Victoria’s co-stars followed her lead, using the opportunity to reveal their own awkward moments at work.
Ruthie Henshall remembered the time she starred opposite acting legend Mickey Rooney in Crazy For You.
She revealed that he gave her something to treat a bad stomach, but it made her feel worse – and she almost had an accident on stage.
Not ideal.
Jordan North got in on the action, telling the story of the moment he was asked not to speak about Halsey during an interview with Yungblud, as they had recently split, but accidentally forgot and mentioned her name.
Sir Mo Farah also remembered the time he fell over while competing in an international championship, and started running the wrong way around the track when he eventually got himself back up.
Well, he still managed to win a bunch of Olympic gold medals, so there you go…
Giovanna Fletcher was left thrilled by the discussion, telling the camera: ‘It’s quite comforting knowing whoever you are or whatever you do, we all have those days where it’s just not going your way.’
I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! continues daily, at 9pm, on ITV.
