Paris Saint-Germain pair Pablo Sarabia and Mauro Icardi have been ruled out of their side’s clash against Manchester United at Old Trafford on Wednesday.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side top the group and need only a point from their final two matches to confirm their progress to the last-16.
PSG, by comparison, are vying with RB Leipzig to qualify from the group and they’ll be desperate to win at the Theatre of Dreams to take them level with the Red Devils on points.
United won the corresponding fixture in the French capital in September but PSG ran out 2-0 winners in their last game at Old Trafford in 2019.
However, their task has been harder by the news that first choice striker Icardi has been ruled out with an adductor problem, meaning he won’t even make the bench at Old Trafford.
Sarabia is a less frequent starter but the 28-year-old is competing with the likes of Idrissa Gueye and Ander Herrera for a starting berth at the club.
But the Argentine will not face United as he’s suffering from muscle pain.
Julian Draxler will undergo a late fitness test to see if he can start.
Paul Pogba is hoping to feature against the French side as he returned to training on Tuesday following a week on the sidelines.
Anthony Martial missed Sunday’s win against Southampton will illness but he too is back in contention, though Edinson Cavani will be hoping to start against his former side.
Axel Tuanzebe excelled against the Parisians last time out but he is suspended, meaning Victor Lindelof and Harry Maguire are likely to continue their defensive partnership.
