Miley Cyrus recently told-all on Sirius XM's 'The Howard Stern Show.' The 'Midnight Sky' singer opened up about her sobriety, divorce, and of course, her steamy music video with Dua Lipa.
Cyrus released the official music video for 'Prisoner' on November 19th...and as you might have seen, it gets pretty steamy. Host Howard Stern claimed that it looked like the two were "having full-on sex," to which Cyrus replied:
"I definitely like kind of pretending that we have because it ends up getting us a lot of views on our music video. So, it's just manipulation, just the standard pop culture manipulation."
In regards to her relationship with Liam Hemsworth, the star noted that "there was too much conflict." But despite their split, Cyrus shared that she still has a lot of love for him, saying:
"...I really do and did love him very, very, very much and still do, always will."
The musician also opened up about her sobriety, acknowledging that she was "drinking during the pandemic." Cyrus went on to reveal what that really meant for her, as she doesn't consider herself an "alcoholic." She said:
"...It's really, for me, drinking hasn't been—that hasn't been my demon. But it does not get me going any further. If anything, it just makes me not reach my full potential, which is unacceptable to me. Like, I will not accept anyone or anything that causes me to not reach my fullest potential.""
Relieved to have made it past the age of 27 (the age many rock legends have passed due to over-dose), Cyrus is focusing on self-reflection and improvement. She shared how drinking negatively affected her in the past, saying:
"It really, really affects my relationships. "I'm not the best partner; I'm not the best daughter; I'm not the best sister. I can be a little unreliable. So if that's an alcoholic—if we're not measuring it by how much we drink but how we perform as a human being—then I would say alcohol is a problem for me because I'm not at my best."
