New Delhi: Kedarnath actress Sara Ali Khan recently visited the Hindu shrine Kedarnath in Uttarakhand along with Janhvi Kapoor. The pictures of the two actors offering puja at the temple have gone viral all over the internet.
However, Sara’s visit to the temple hasn’t been received well by the Islamists as they are posting abuses & venomous tweets on social media against her. Sara’s visit to a Hindu shrine despite being a Muslim has left certain sections offended who are now resorting to name-calling her, in a bid to tarnish her. Sara Ali Khan shared glimpses of her Kedarnath visit on official Instagram account. Within hours, the comments section was inundated with abuse and filth.
Posting a picture of her along with Janhvi Kapoor of her Kedarnath visit on Instagram, she wrote, “Back to where it all began. #JaiBholenath #grateful #blessed.”

By the caption, Sara referred to her debut movie ‘Kedarnath.’ The movie was shot in and around the Kedarnath temple and was based on the devastating flood that happened in the state in 2016. Besides Sara, the late actor Sushant Singh Rajput played the lead in the movie.
Islamists and a certain section of extremists have initiated a barrage of despicable and vituperative comments against her for temple visit. One of the users said, “You’re a Muslim lannat. Tum per Sara shram aur daro Allah say,” while another said, “Tum Muslim ho phr ya kya kar rhi astqfirallah.”
Many have abused her for her choicest of imprecations while others have accused her of bringing disgrace to Muslims by visiting a Hindu temple and worshipping an idol. Notably, idol worship is considered a sin, according to Muslim beliefs.

One of the users advised her to take lessons from her father before visiting a Hindu temple. He further said her to visit a Hindu temple only for shooting purposes and not for offering prayers. He stated, “Tu kamse kam ter baap ka to dekhli hoti. Main yea nhi kehrahahu k tu Hinduouse se na friendship kr. I will say just respect Hindus and respect muslims. Don’t play with us…If you Hindu tab kui kuch nhi kahega but yea sab karke tum jease lug hum mualims ko beizzat kartiho. Kedarnath ya kahi our jaha marzi jaw but tilak lagake. Jay hanuman jay bajrang yea sab mat kya kro. Jab tak tmhari naam ke sath ali laga hua hai. Ghumne ko jaana hai jaw. Shooting karni hai kro but don’t post on social media.”
This is not the first time celebrities have been attacked by Islamists for performing Hindu rituals. Earlier this year, Bollywood superstar Shahrukh Khan was accused online by Muslims after he posted a picture of visarjan following Ganesh Chathurthi.
