AJ Pritchard’s girlfriend Abbie Quinnen hopes they will marry so they can strip off together to become Britain’s answer to Justin and Hailey Bieber.
Dancer Abbie is on the outside world rooting for the I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! star, but can’t wait to crack on with their future careers — which include his’n’hers modelling for Calvin Klein.
Updating Guilty Pleasures on their plans after moving in together, 23-year-old Abbie said: ‘I definitely think AJ is “the one”. We have spoken about weddings and kids. Fingers crossed it does happen one day.’
She says they would be a force to reckon with as husband and wife, especially stripped down to their knick-knacks.
‘Me and AJ work so hard on our bodies, making sure that we eat correctly, and we always work out together,’ she said.
‘We have said our dream campaign is to be Calvin Klein models like Justin and Hailey Bieber. We would love that. We talk about it all the time. That is the dream. Because I am a dancer I am used to not wearing too many clothes.’
And it could all become a reality, as she revealed: ‘I’ve got two lingerie brands fighting over me.’
Describing how they fell in love after starting to date 18 months ago, she says 26-year-old former Strictly pro AJ took his time to make a move.
‘Me and AJ met on his first tour,’ Abbie added. ‘We were so shy towards each other it was like being at school. We danced together and smiled and giggled but wouldn’t talk too much.
‘Towards the end he would offer me lifts home in his car and that’s when we got talking. After it all finished, that’s when he asked me out. That’s when we first got together and then we went on holiday and he officially asked me to be his girlfriend.
‘Since lockdown I’ve moved in. It’s been crazy. He is just the best boyfriend ever.’
Abbie is chuffed to share what she sees in the bathroom in the mornings as fans go wild for AJ’s shower scenes in the I’m A Celeb castle.
‘I think it’s amazing, everyone is lucky now [they have seen him in the shower]. It’s not just me. I’m happy everyone is appreciating him as much as I appreciate him.’
After shooting down gay rumours about her man earlier this week, Abbie explained that male dancers are having the last laugh in the hetero world.
‘It’s definitely labelled as a feminine career,’ she said. ‘I have loads of straight friends who have the time of their lives because all of the girls are so stunning. Everyone has amazing bodies. They are actually the lucky ones. They get the best of the bunch.’
Abbie also explained why she is happy that men take a shine to her man.
‘I’m not worried in the slightest,’ she said. ‘I love that everyone fancies him, because he is gorgeous. I don’t blame them!’
A Killer gag! Brandon on Grammy snub
The Killers jokingly threw a Trump-style tantrum after their album failed to secure a Grammy nod.
Frontman Brandon Flowers mimicked the president’s voter fraud claims after learning the album, Imploding The Mirage, had been snubbed.
Kicking off his post in capitals, he reacted: ‘OBSERVERS WERE NOT ALLOWED INTO THE COUNTING ROOMS. WE WON THE GRAMMYS, GOT LOADS OF LEGAL VOTES. BAD THINGS HAPPENED WHICH OUR OBSERVERS WERE NOT ALLOWED TO SEE. NEVER HAPPENED BEFORE.’
He ended it, ‘#RIGGEDGRAMMYS #WEWON’.
While Brandon, 39, was willing to laugh, The Weeknd was deadly serious after failing to earn any nominations, despite Blinding Lights being one of the year’s biggest-selling singles.
The 30-year-old fumed: ‘The Grammys remain corrupt. You owe me, my fans and the industry transparency…’
Grammy chiefs responded by saying there are fewer nominations to hand out ‘than the number of deserving artists’.
Tongue’n’Chic gesture from Nile’s A-list pal
As Dua Lipa prepares to launch her version of Studio 54 tomorrow, funk legend Nile Rodgers has been telling of his acid trip at the legendary disco… thanks to a mystery A-lister.
Recalling one particular night at the New York club, the Get Lucky muso said: ‘This woman who I thought was the most beautiful thing I had ever seen… she was part of a pretty popular celebrity couple and they were my good friends.
‘She was there by herself, which was uncommon because they were the IT couple, and I was leaving the club as she was coming in. She stopped me, pushed me against the wall and said, “Nile, close your eyes.”
‘I closed my eyes and she put a tab of acid in my mouth and said, “You’re mine tonight.”’
The 68-year-old Chic star told Jodie Harsh’s Life Of The Party podcast: ‘At first I didn’t know how to accept that. One, both she and her husband were my friends, but it was one of those things that the night seemed like magic.
‘When I woke up the next day from this whole LSD – it may not even have been LSD, it could have been MDMA – it was a one-time only event, and she and I never talked about it.’
He’s no ordinary Joe… Taylor reveals her secret songwriter
Taylor Swift has thrown her love life back in the spotlight after revealing her British lover Joe Alwyn secretly co-wrote two songs on her latest album.
Folklore was recorded in isolation during the pandemic and, in an Instagram post, Taylor, 30, thanked ‘William Bowery’, who she said had co-written two songs with her.
The mention led to speculation about Bowery’s true identity as he did not appear to be a registered songwriter or record producer.
Fans theorised that Bowery could be a pseudonym for The Favourite star Joe, 29.
Taylor cleared up the mystery during her show for Disney+ on which she performs songs from the album.
Admitting Joe truly is The Favourite, she said: ‘There’s been a lot of discussion about William Bowery.
‘William Bowery is Joe… he plays piano beautifully.’
My music is R’n’Bieber these days, fumes Justin
Justin Bieber is disappointed Grammy bosses still consider him a pop prince because he wants to be known as an R’n’B star.
He said Changes, shortlisted for best pop vocal album, should have been categorised differently.
‘It is not being acknowledged as an R’n’B album which is very strange to me,’
Biebs, 26, wrote on Instagram. ‘For this not to be put into that category feels weird.’
However, he added he is ‘honoured to be nominated either way’.
Beyonce is leading the Grammy nominations after being shortlisted in nine categories, including song of the year — where she is up against Dua Lipa.
■ Robbie Williams credits his better half for helping out on his cheeky festive ditty Can’t Stop Christmas. He mocks the government’s social distancing rules in the song’s lyrics but said his wife Ayda, 41, advised him to tone it down. Robbie, 46, told Heart FM: ‘The lyric was much different but it was too contentious so I changed a bunch of stuff and my wife was like, “Santa’s on his sleigh, but now he’s two metres away,” and I thought, “Great, I’ll use that!”’
■ Long before his problems with booze, Ben Affleck had a terrible introduction to weed. The former Batman star suffered a panic attack after smoking marijuana as a teenager. Ben, 48, revealed: ‘I had a bad experience with marijuana at 15. I had a dissociative panic attack. So I only smoked weed if everyone else was smoking and I had to sort of Bill Clinton it and fake it. I didn’t really like marijuana. I also wasn’t a very heavy drinker then. I became an alcoholic much, much later and I’m in recovery now, so that was a whole different time.’
