Woman Killed in Mead Valley on Christmas Identified

A woman fatally beaten on Christmas Day near a Mead Valley intersection was identified Thursday as a 30-year-old Perris resident.

Emily Ulloa died last Friday afternoon in the area of Brown and Kinney streets, according to the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department.

Sgt. Richard Carroll said the victim was spotted about 4:20 p.m. by passers-by, who called 911. Patrol deputies arrived moments later and discovered Ulloa unconscious, suffering from “obvious trauma,” the sergeant said.

He said paramedics attempted life-saving measures at the scene, but the victim succumbed to her injuries.

No other details were disclosed.

Central Homicide Unit detectives initiated an investigation but have not developed leads pointing to potential suspects. Carroll asked anyone who might have information to contact investigators at 951-955-2777.
